Der Delicious Trail Dolomiti ist ein Berglauf, der in dem aus naturalistischer Sicht schönsten und auch geschichtsträchtigsten Gebiet von Cortina d'Ampezzo ausgetragen wird.
Die 43 km lange Strecke führt von der Innenstadt nach Pocol, Croda da Lago, 5 Torri, Nuvolau, Averau und Lagazuoi, über den Falzarego-Pass und durch das Freilichtmuseum des Dolomitenkriegs, d.h. durch die Freilichtmuseen 5 Torri, Lagazuoi und durch den Minenstollen des Lagazuoi. Auf diesen Bergen wurden während des Ersten Weltkriegs unerbittliche Kämpfe zwischen dem italienischen und dem österreichisch-ungarischen Heer ausgetragen.
Mit einer 23 km langen Streckenführung und 1.300 positiven Höhenmetern bietet sich der Short Delicious Trail Dolomiti bestens für Einsteiger und nicht ganz durchtrainierte Bergläufer an. Hinzu kommt der ca. 35 km lange Medium Delicious Trail Dolomiti, mit Start in La Villa im Gadertal, auf dessen Streckenführung man 1.900 Höhenmeter überwindet.
Der Streckenverlauf führt durch ein landschaftlich einzigartiges Gebiet im Herzen des UNESCO-Weltnaturerbes Dolomiten, auf die imposanten Gipfel der Berge Lagazuoi (2.778 m) und Nuvolau (2.647 m) und an den zwei malerischen Hochgebirgsseen Federa und Lìmides vorbei.
Außergewöhnlich und besonders reizvoll für einen Sportwettkampf ist die Kombination von Sport und Gastronomie.
